Turn 10-cent containers into ongoing fundraising

Charities, community groups and not-for-profits across Queensland use Containers for Change as an ongoing fundraising stream. Queenslanders can also choose to donate their refund to a cause they care about directly via the organisation’s member number.

Since 2018, one million containers have been donated to OzHarvest through Containers for Change by corporate supporters, community groups and individual Queenslanders.

Those containers generated $100,000 in refunds, helping OzHarvest deliver 200,000 meals to Queenslanders experiencing food insecurity.

That means every 10 containers donated can help provide two meals.

For several years, the volunteer-run organisation has turned container refunds into better animal health outcomes in some of Queensland’s most remote communities.
