Depot inspired to support charity

Little Wings is the official 2025 charity partner for Containers for Change depot Browns Plains Bottles & Cans in Logan.

Depot operators Andrew Lambert and Julie Farrelly were inspired to raise funds for Little Wings after learning about them at the 2024 Change Maker Awards.

The depot helped launch the 2025 Little Wings Recycling Challenge and Andrew and Julie’s granddaughter Scarlett featured in the State v State campaign.

Andrew and Julie say they are extremely lucky to have raised four children and have four healthy grandchildren, including Scarlett, none of whom have ever had serious health issues or required hospitalisation.

With the support of their community and commercial partners, Browns Plains Bottles & Cans aims to raise $10,000 for Little Wings by the end of 2025.
