RVM rollout doubles volume in Brisbane’s south

Logan Central residents are enjoying a faster and more convenient recycling experience following the recent upgrade of the Logan Central Shopping Centre bag drop to a reverse vending machine (RVM).

The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, with the new RVM processing an impressive 115,000 containers in less than a month – more than double the number of containers collected via the old bag drop last financial year.

The surge in returns highlights how having the right return option for customers in the right place can positively impact recycling efforts.

The Logan Central RVM joins four other RVMs recently installed across Brisbane’s south at Arndale Shopping Centre, Chatswood Central Shopping Central, Holmview Central Shopping Centre and Beenleigh Marketplace.

Yet another recently launched RVM in Victoria Point in Brisbane’s south-east is also proving popular with more than 38,000 containers returned through the site in just one week.
