Containers for Change welcomes new CEO Natalie Roach

MEDIA RELEASE

Natalie Roach has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Container Exchange, the not-for-profit operating Queensland’s container refund scheme Containers for Change.

Ms Roach joined Container Exchange in January with a career spanning more than 20 years including C-suite experience across a diverse range of roles and industries.

She joins the organisation at an exciting time during a record-breaking summer which has seen more Queenslanders than ever cashing in their containers.

“We have such a unique platform and opportunity to truly influence Queenslanders to recycle and make real change,” Ms Roach said.

“We’ve started the year strongly with record-breaking numbers. January was one of the network’s busiest months ever with more than 157 million containers returned.

“I am looking forward to seeing this vibrant organisation continue to grow, providing Queenslanders even more opportunity to utilise the scheme to return fantastic social, economic, and environmental benefits in their communities,” she said.

Prior to joining Container Exchange, Ms Roach worked globally leading strategic change, transformation, operations, and customer experience improvements across the aviation, rail, travel and early education industries.

Her previous roles include Chief Customer Officer at G8 Education, Group Executive – Customer & Corporate Affairs at Queensland Rail and Head of Customer Experience and Operations at Qantas.

Ms Roach’s tenure commences as the organisation increases its focus on maximising the environmental, social, and economic impact of Containers for Change across the state.
